ASTM A283 is a carbon steel plate for general structural use with low to medium tensile strength. The ASTM A283 steel specification covers four structural quality grades of low carbon steel plates for general application, Grade A, B, C, and D.
ASTM A283 steel plate is a kind of low carbon steel with high strength and good formability. It is easy to process and manufacture, and can safely weld various welding methods. ASTM A283 steel plates are structural carbon steel plates for low or medium tensile strength applications. ASTM A283 steel plates are used to manufacture riveted, bolted and welded structures for tanks and low temperature control vessels, bridges and buildings, including prefabricated buildings, warehouses and industrial and commercial structures.
